No charges pressed against Conor McGregor for the sexual assault allegation
Former UFC lightweight and featherweight champion Conor McGregor will not be charged for the alleged sexual incident in the French Island last year. Though, Conor was detained by the police department and investigated. He was detained to investigate the incident happened last September
Conor McGregor was detained by the police on the French island of Corsica back in September 2020. A woman claimed that the UFC superstar had attempted sexual assault and sexual exhibition on her in the bathroom of a bar.
McGregor’s representative informed TMZ Sports, “They did a criminal investigation. They collected DNA and the DNA evidence confirmed McGregor’s account.” The Notorious One will not be charged on this sexual assault case due to insufficient evidence. Conor denied the allegations and now the charges have been dropped.
Document sent to Conor McGregor by French police revealed
The French police later sent a document to Conor McGregor explaining his arrest and why his charges were dropped. The above document is in French. The translation is as follows:
“The examination of the present proceedings does not justify any criminal prosecution since: – The facts or the circumstances of the facts of the proceedings could not have been clearly established by the investigations. –The pieces of evidence are therefore not sufficient for the offense to be constituted and for criminal prosecution to be engaged.”
A lot of people online have been bashing the superstar calling him a sexual abuser on social media. This report will sure help clear the minds of many accusers. This is not the first time Conor McGregor has faced charges against him for sexual assault.
