While this is the case on some occasions, it is not always true. The Serbian himself admitted this in a couple of his latest interviews. Talking to Nick Kyrgios on his podcast Good Trouble, Djokovic revealed that he tries to stay competitive despite a hostile atmosphere because a win is more important to him.
