3x Olympian Lindsey Vonn admits having ‘no regrets’ despite undergoing multiple knee surgeries following professional career success

Lindsey Vonn in her latest Instagram post has confirmed that her knee surgery went well. Although she may need to further undergo another surgery, Vonn is hoping “this will help me for a bit” and “hopefully being in less pain” so that she can continue to “do the things I love.”

Fans flooded social media to wish her well and even asked her who the two boxes of pizzas were for. To quench their curiosity, the 3x Olympian stated that one box was to share with the nurses for taking care of her and one was for her stomach satisfaction.

Although Vonn retired from the scene long ago, she is well-loved by the fans. This was definitely not the first surgery she went through in her life. Due to her arduous professional life, her health suffered a lot. Vonn dealt with several injuries and surgeries and even admitted she may be going to another very soon.

Lindsey Vonn on her Instagram commented that she is ready and excited to take the next step and do everything she can to hold onto the things she loves. “Even with all these surgeries I have no regrets. I loved skiing and I’m never going to complain about all the things that have happened to me. When we fall, we pick ourselves up.”

Lindsey Vonn, one of the greatest skiers also dubbed as “speed queenparticipated in her final race in 2019 at Are, Sweden. Fans saw her gear up in her final glory during the Alpine World Championships, Super G, and downhill before health took priority.

She admitted that hanging her skates was one of the hardest decisions ever made, but mentally she had already “accepted I cannot continue ski racing”. Despite her taking a break from races, Vonn geared up to race down The Streif in Austria. She became the first woman to do so successfully as the road down is considered as one of the toughest and most dangerous.

Vonn admitted that she was totally broken down and needed time to heal. If she wanted to enjoy a fun skating future with her kids, she had to stop. “My body is broken beyond repair” Lindsey Vonn stated as she spoke about the 2019 incident. 

She mentioned having to deal with a torn ligament and three fractures as she failed to compete in the 2018 Lake Louise event. It was later decided that she will continue participation in the event in 2019, but shortly afterward the skiing star retired.

Even after the recent surgery, she is expected to be back in the spotlight, although not for races but for her other business and personal endeavors.
