After having a successful career in the Olympics and track and field, Usain Bolt is now trying his way out in the music industry. The Jamaican athlete is one of the most successful and wealthiest Olympians in the world, having broken several world records such as the 100 meters category, 200 meters, and 4 x 100 meters relay.

In his tryst with music, Usain Bolt, in collaboration with his long-time friend and manager Nugent ‘NJ’ Walker, released an album titled Country Yutes. The album is of the reggae genre, which is one of the most popular music genres in the Caribbean states. His album has now reached the Top 6 charts of the Billboards, making Bolt the latest recipient of the Billboard Plaque.

Bolt, posting on all his social media platforms, thanked his fans for their incredible and unwavering support throughout his career. In his social media post, Bolt further writes, “Just know I don’t take these moments for granted.”

Usain Bolt’s reggae album reaches the top 6 place in the Billboard charts

Usain Bolt recently released a 14-track collaborative album with his long-time friend and manager, Nugent ‘NJ’ Walker. In the first week of its release, the album crossed 1,800 units in sales and streaming equivalent units. It spent over a week on the top half of the Reggae chart.

The album was released under his A-Team Lifestyle label, making it the Jamaican sprinter’s first full-length album as a producer. He first announced his venture into the music industry when he hinted to his followers about this project in 2021.

In an interview, Bolt says, “We’re serious about the music so we’re just going to take our time. Just like in Track and Field, it’s all about work and dedication and just taking our time. We don’t want to rush into anything, make any mistakes, so we gonna take our time. We will get there. We believe in ourselves, and we believe in the product that we’re putting out there.”

Bolt ultimately aims to win a Grammy and shared minor details about his upcoming second album. He is planning on collaborating with some famous artists from the UK to work in collaborations on his record. Speaking about his new tryst with music further, he adds, “I want to win a Grammy, that would be the biggest thing for me. That’s my end goal.”
