Ritu Phogat is in the form of her life right now as far as her MMA career is concerned. The Indian Tigress is confident that she would able to take on anyone in her future bouts.
Ritu Phogat is coming off a win against one of the best atomweights Meng Bo. Ritu took on Meng in the quarter-finals in ONE Championship. Bo was on a seven-fight winning streak and yet Phogat managed to dismantle her opponent to enter into the semi-finals of the EMPOWER atomweight world grand prix. She has so far taken on two of china’s finest fighters and beat them both. Meng Bo is the no.2 ranked atomweight.
With only 2 years of experience, Ritu has proved that she has what it takes to beat the elite of the elite. “Tigress” might be paired against either one of Stamp Fairtex, Seo Hee Ham, or Itsuki Hirata. ONE fans will decide who Ritu will be facing in the semi-finals by voting on ONEFC.com/vote.
“I don’t fear anybody,” says Ritu Phogat
After her historical win against Bo, Ritu spoke to the media about her win and how she felt. “I’m not bothered if it’s Stamp [Fairtex] who’s the best or whoever else. I don’t fear anybody. Whoever comes into the circle to fight me, will see the Tigress in me,” she said. The Indian has been training MMA for only two years.
“Although she has more experience than me I have proved I am the best with this win, so it feels great. I am ready to take on the next opponent no matter who and prove that I am the best in the competition,” she added.
