Patricio Pitbull has been frequently making headlines for his public criticism towards PFL as a fighting promotion. The former Bellator lightweight champion is regarded as the most decorated fighter in the promotion’s history. However, with the PFL taking over Bellator, things have changed a lot. Most importantly, his contract remains unfulfilled.
Patricio Pitbull has repeatedly expressed disappointment with how the PFL has treated him following its acquisition of Bellator in 2023. The Bellator icon has accused PFL chairman Donn Davis of failing to honor his contract and neglecting his concerns. Recently, Pitbull urged PFL star Francis Ngannou via social media to address the organization’s alleged mistreatment of fighters.
After Ngannou left UFC, he joined PFL for a multi-million dollar contract, which shocked the MMA community. The former UFC champion recently made his PFL debut and became the new heavyweight champion by defeating Renan Ferreira. Pitbull has also mentioned that he tagged Ngannou due to the Cameroonian-French’s eagerness to help fighters against mistreatment from the promotion.
Hey @francis_ngannou are you aware of all the absurd things PFL is doing to fighters and putting on the new contracts? Will you ever speak up for us?

I tagged Francis Ngannou because he became a PFL executive and talked in the past about doing what’s right for the fighters.

Other than the pay dispute, Francis Ngannou’s biggest issue with UFC was getting mistreated by the promotion. However, now being a part of and ignoring such a situation has raised questions among fight fans. On the other hand, Pitbull is adamant about exposing PFL and their contracts.
