Phil Foden says there’s still a long way to go in the Premier League title race


Manchester City roseto five points clear at the the top of the table after registering a 4-1 win over Liverpool at Anfield. This was their first win at Anfield since 2003 and it comes at a very crucial time indeed.
However youngster Phil Foden believes that Manchester City cannot be complacent in any form if they want to go the whole way.

Phil Foden produced a brilliant display against the Reds at Anfield and was a major cause for their win. He scored an absolutely stunning goal to seal all three points for them. Moreover he was also involved in getting the assist for Ilkay Gundogan’s goal.
Manchester City are in a more than comfortable position and are definitely favourites to win it. They’ve played a match less than second placed Manchester United and still are five points clear of the chasing pack.
With 16 matches still left, Phil Foden insists that they must remain consistent if they want to win the league. The youngster has really coke to the forefront this season and is an asset for Pep Guardiola.

“We have been playing great recently but there is still a long way to go and so many points to play for,” Foden said after the win at Anfield. “We just have to keep focused and keep trying to put the points on the table.
“We have beaten a difficult team and we are on a good run at the moment so we want to keep up that form and keep playing well.
“We all believe we can do it but there are still so many points to play for and you can see that this season has been a bit funny with teams dropping points so we cannot get complacent now and we have to keep improving our game and stay on top of it as best as we can.
