A’Ja Wilson named the unanimous 2024 WNBA MVP

The WNBA season has been one of the best in recent memory and has been powered by efforts of extraordinary players like A’ja Wilson. The Las Vegas Aces star has had a season to remember, and as a result, has seen her efforts crowned by being named the unanimous WNBA MVP.

While the announcement was made official on Sunday, her team, the Aces shared a heartfelt moment of the announcement and the resulting celebration on social media.

The clip showed head coach Becky Hammon as she received a call, which she then passed to A’Ja Wilson that delivered the exciting news. The entire locker room and the star herself was overjoyed with the news.

Wilson will now turn her focus on the WNBA Playoffs, and she will be entering it in great spirits and form as she averaged 26.9 points, 11.9 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.8 steals, and 2.6 blocks per game. The Aces are set to host the Seattle Storm in Round 1.
