Puka Nacua‘s plans to go skydiving with Sydney Sweeney didn’t go as he had hoped. The Los Angeles Rams wide receiver addressed his failure to connect with the actor on the Up & Adams Show.
Shortly after the Rams lost in the AFC Championship game, Nacua responded to a statement from Sweeney that quickly went viral. Sweeney declared the criteria her partner must have in order to date her.
Nacua quickly mentioned that he enjoys skydiving, but later admitted in an interview that he’s actually afraid of heights. The third-year wideout revisited the exchange while speaking with Kay Adams, acknowledging that his timing and awareness could have been better.
No, not at all… my awareness skills were at 0 at that moment, [but] I don’t regret it at all. I’d still love to go skydiving.
Puka Nacua told Kay Adams
Nacua explained that the appeal was not merely about impressing someone, but about the inherent excitement of thrill-seeking. He acknowledged that the likelihood of ever jumping with Sweeney from a moving plane is unlikely, yet he remains determined not to give up.
I’m not gonna pass that opportunity up. There’s only so many moments in life where you can actually feel something, and I know that comes in skydiving.
Nacua quipped
"My awareness skills were at 0 at that moment… I don't regret it at all. I would still love to go skydiving." 👀

Nacua’s response came after Sweeney clarified her previous statement. She said that she doesn’t need a man in her life as she prioritises control, confidence, and success.
I am a boss in my life. I take control. I go after what I want. I am confident, and I am successful, and I don’t actually need a man.

Who is Puka Nacua dating?
A few days after Sweeney’s confession, TMZ reported seeing Nacua with another woman. He was spotted leaving a sushi restaurant in West Hollywood on January 31.

The woman in question is 34-year-old influencer Hannah Stocking. It’s unclear whether they are actually dating or if it was just a one-time thing.
Nacua once dated Hallie Aiono, who later gave birth to a baby boy. However, Nacua denied being the child’s father, prompting Aiono to file a petition in court for a paternity test.

Hallie had asked the court to confirm that Puka is the father of the baby.

Puka Nacua received welcoming news at the NFL Honors
Nacua was in the running for NFL Offensive Player of the Year for the first time in his career, thanks to his impressive contributions during the 2025 season. He piled up 1,715 yards and 10 touchdowns on 129 catches over 16 games for the Rams. The crown went to the Seahawks WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba.
While Nacua may have fallen short by a few votes, his quarterback, Matthew Stafford, didn’t. Stafford was voted as the league’s most valuable player. During his acceptance speech, Stafford announced that he will return to assume his QB1 duties in the 2026 season. Nacua wasn’t at the ceremony, but it’s easy to imagine him reacting much like Sean McVay and Kyren Williams.
Stafford edged out the Patriots QB Drake Maye by just one first-place vote. He had accumulated 4707 yards, 46 touchdowns, and just 8 interceptions in 17 games.
