Randy Orton, is one of the best heels to have ever worked, for WWE. The Apex Predator is undoubtedly one of the most talented wrestlers on the roster. He has been consistently proving this, especially with his ongoing “The Legend Killer” gimmick.

But Orton’s life outside the ring too, has been as controversial as his in-ring persona. His backstage stories and attitude issues have been cropping up throughout his over 15-years long career. Orton’s current rival, WWE Champion Drew McIntyre, opened up about Orton’s issues and why he didn’t hesitate to bring them up on live WWE Raw.

In an interview with Metro, McIntyre pointed out that during a WWE Raw episode Orton himself had agreed that he deserved to be fired. McIntyre shared that he never saw Orton in his worst phase but has heard a lot about it. But also mentioned that he has seen enough to share it on live television.

Orton, all the attitude and behavioral problems aside is also an extremely talented wrestler. WWE saw tremendous potential in him. According to McIntyre, it was the talents of in-ring Orton that saved the Orton, outside the ring, from consequences. McIntyre said, “The truth is, he was so good, so talented and had so much potential, that’s why he got away with murder.”

Randy Orton and Drew McIntyre rivalry for the WWE Championship has been going on for a couple of months. It is definitely one of the fiercest rivalry on WWE network right now. Most recently they faced-off at WWE pay-per-view Clash Of Champions, in an Ambulance match.

The match even had cameos from WWE legends, Big Show, Christian, Shawn Michaels and “Nature Boy” Ric Flair. All of them have been attacked by Orton this year as a part of his “Legend Killer” gimmick.

Orton and McIntyre will be facing-off again at WWE Hell in a Cell, 25th October, 2020.
