Renato Moicano versus Jalin Turner was the last fight announced for UFC 300. The fight headlined the early prelims, and it delivered a TKO finish. As the betting underdog, many fighters, including the likes of Israel Adesanya, Dan Hooker, Alexander Volkanovski, Paddy Pimblett, and Demetrious Johnson, had picked against Moicano.

After overcoming an early knockdown, Moicano used his grappling and ground and pound to secure a TKO victory. Interestingly, Moicano kept receipts, as evidenced by his recent video on YouTube. The Brazilian criticized everyone who picked against him, particularly Dan Hooker, as Hooker had fought Turner.

Funnily enough, Moicano stated that his game plan aimed at making Turner punch himself out and later finish him. However, that might not be true, as his corner had criticized him for trading punches with Turner. Nonetheless, he now has the bragging rights against everyone who picked against him.

When Hooker fought Turner at UFC 290, it was similar to Turner’s fight with Moicano. Turner hurt Hooker with a head kick in round one. The head kick from Jalin Turner made a sound, and the commentators could not fathom how Hooker withstood it. Nonetheless, Hooker hurt Turner in rounds 2 and 3 and bagged a decision victory.

What did Dan Hooker say about Jalin Turner and Renato Moicano?

Dan Hooker defeated Jalin Turner at UFC 290 even though he fractured the bone on his right forearm. It was his second consecutive victory after losses to Islam Makhachev and Arnold Allen. Hooker has not fought since and had a vested interest in the early prelims of UFC 300, which had two lightweight bouts.

Hooker gave his prediction for the fights of UFC 300 on Israel Adesanya‘s FreeStyelbender YouTube channel. As such, he predicted Jalin Turner to defeat Renato Moicano at UFC 300.

He's [Jalin Turner] good, yeah. Bro, he's good. I think he beats a lot of the guys in the top 10. I think he smashes [Renato] Moicano.

Nonetheless, Hooker stated that he would like to fight Moicano if the Brazilian emerged victorious. Hooker had a fascinating reason to fight Moicano.

Hooker and Moicano did not have any pre-existing beef. Now that Moicano has taken offense to fighters picking against him, the stage could be set for a potential fight. Moicano’s newfound popularity among fight fans and Hooker’s BMF-type fight persona would likely make the potential fight a reality.
