Rey Mysterio has wrestled in countless matches during his 20+ year tenure. In his illustrious career, there was once an unfortunate event where he made a mistake and broke a superstar’s orbital socket. The superstar in question was none other than The Deadman, The Undertaker.

While speaking on the Jaxxon podcast, the Lucha legend reflected on the time when he fought The Undertaker for the very first time. At first, he talked about how humble the WWE Hall of Famer was as a human being. Rey Mysterio stated that he was nervous ahead of his match with him. During the bout, when he performed a springboard Swanton on Taker, it literally broke the latter’s orbital socket.

Mysterio shared that The Deadman knew it was just a mistake, and despite bleeding from his nose, he wasn’t angry at him. After the mishap, the Hall of Famer said that he wanted to impress the 59-year-old legend with his wrestling style so that he could work with him again. The duo indeed ended up working with each other a couple more times.

Not to mention that the first time I wrestled him, I ended up breaking his orbital socket. I was scared sh*tless… I do this move where I spring on the top rope and I jump and I pretty much sit on your chest and bring you down.

While speaking on the same podcast, Mysterio was thankful to Hunter because he agreed for a special entrance. Instead of coming out to his traditional entrance, the Lucha legend came out to the entrance theme of his dear friend Eddie Guerrero sitting in his iconic car, alongside Snoop Dogg.

That was Triple H. He's a genius man. I'm sure he has his team he sits around with, but overall, he's always been very creative with; what to do, what makes sense, and how do we move forward.
