“Perfect time to do it,” Real-life Bloodline member addresses why The Rock didn’t turn heel on Roman Reigns at the Netflix premiere of Raw

The 59-year-old Anoa'i family member has discussed WWE missing out on an opportunity for The Rock's heel turn on Roman Reigns.

Roman Reigns regained the Ula Fala from Solo Sikoa on the Netflix premiere of Raw. After their ‘tribal combat’ showdown, The Rock came out to bestow the revered Samoan garland on Reigns, and he’s now the ‘Only Tribal Chief.’ Shortly after the Black Adam star hugged his cousin, the fans were anticipating a heel turn. Rikishi was no different.

Speaking on his Off The Top podcast, the real-life Bloodline member thought that WWE would plant the seeds for the long-awaited Rock vs. Reigns match down the road. However, what both of them did was embrace, share a hug, and bask in the adulation of a packed house at the Intuit Dome. Rikishi saw it as Rock’s validation for Reigns, where he seemingly passed on the torch to The OTC.

The former Too Cool member recalled getting emotional with the way the Ula Fala has been represented on WWE television for years since Roman’s father, Sika, first conferred his son with it back in 2020. Seeing the first Raw on Netflix circled around it, Rikishi felt so good.

If Rock wanted to turn heel, what a perfect time to do it.

At the end, he did mention that if The Rock were to betray Reigns, this past Monday was the perfect time to do it. It doesn’t seem like this dream match is happening anytime soon. Speaking of WrestleMania 41, there are dark clouds hovering over Rock’s involvement in the show.

At this point, he’s almost certain to not be wrestling at the two-night spectacle in LA. Rumors suggest that he’ll have to complete the reshoots of Moana 2. That’d keep The Great One from going through the necessary training camp to get ring ready for competing like he did at WrestleMania XL.

Kevin Owens slams Cody Rhodes for mending fences with The Rock

On SmackDown last Friday, Kevin Owens cut Cody Rhodes off on the mic before the latter could say anything. The Prizefighter affirmed that just when he thought Cody couldn’t get any worse, it actually happened.

If partnering with Roman Reigns at Bad Blood wasn’t enough, Rhodes apparently buried the hatchet with The Rock too on Raw. Owens lashed out at The American Nightmare and wondered why he did so.

Just because The Final Boss rubbed him the right way? That jolly exchange between Rock and Cody has irked the WWE Universe more than anything. They’re upset that their story, which was supposed to pick up, is now seemingly dead. At one point, they were slated to duke it out at WrestleMania 41. However, that’s been scrapped.
