Mumbai Indians (MI) have signed Kerala cricketer Rojith Ganesh as a net player for the upcoming edition of the IPL. MI are the defending champions of the Indian Premier League (IPL) and the side looks primed to go on and win the title for a third consecutive time. The franchise has always been shrewd with regard to its player investments and it is hence, no doubt as to why they have converted various domestic stars into international superstars as is evident with the domination of the side’s players in the national team.

MI have a very well-settled line-up with an explosive top-order led by skipper Rohit Sharma. With an excellent middle order and explosive finishers, their batting is sorted. Their bowling led by Trent Boult and Jasprit Bumrah is fearsome and their new signings also seem to be extremely promising, reiterating the fact that this might be the first time we see a ‘three-peat’ in the history of the IPL.

MI’s scouting team seems to have spotted another exciting talent in Rojith Ganesh. The Kerala cricketer played in two matches at the Vijay Hazare Trophy but did not get enough chances to shine. He however, shone at the KCA Presidents T20 Cup where he smashed a 11-ball 28 in one of the matches. His side KCA Royals went on to win the tournament as well.

Rojith took to Instagram to reveal that he had joined the Mumbai Indians camp. He wrote, “Happy to stand with champions side @mumbaiindians #ipl2021 #mumbaiindians
