Roman Reigns had a busy night on this week’s Raw in Baltimore. Before leaving, he entrusted Jacob Fatu with the onus of taking out Seth Rollins. But first, he officially welcomed him into the family by bestowing the Ula Fala on ‘The Samoan Werewolf’ in the opening segment. Reigns also made Fatu decimate Eric André to send a message to the entire locker room.

Later on, when The Usos confronted Reigns asking why he didn’t tell Fatu to start listening to them, as ‘The OTC’ wouldn’t be around every single week to call the play. Reigns said he called an audible because he understood how Jacob must’ve felt in all that time getting treated as an outsider in his own family.

‘The OTC’ told his cousins that everyone hates them, which got Reigns wondering why LA Knight was still talking trash about them. The reigning World Heavyweight Champion thought he’d have to send Fatu after him. It repulsed Jey, and he immediately volunteered to handle Knight before ‘Big Jim’ chimed in and said he would talk to LA.

Knight got interrupted in his promo by Jimmy, who tried instilling it in The Megastar’s head that Solo Sikoa isn’t with their Bloodline anymore. So what he did to cost Knight in his King of the Ring qualifying match on SmackDown was purely his decision. After a short while, Jey also got down to the ring, and he was serious, for a change.

‘The Yeet Man’ concurred with everything his twin brother had just said about Solo not being associated with the Bloodline anymore. Jey Uso eventually asked Knight to acknowledge him, which LA initially found to be a compelling offer considering he was outnumbered, but Knight told Jey he could kiss his a**. It made Jey snap, and he was dying to put LA down.

‘Big Jim’ tried playing the peacemaker but got shoved to the ground with Knight and Jey swinging at each other. Jimmy Uso pulled out the superkick on ‘The Unchosen One’ in desperation and yelled at Knight that he tried making it easy for him. Jey went out to get a steel chair, and Jimmy did his best to calm his brother down. However, Jey set free only to get caught by Knight, who took out the twins.

It was then time for Jacob Fatu to pull up and choke out ‘The Megastar’ with the Tongan Death Grip. Fatu told The Usos backstage that they failed in their ways to handle Knight, so he had to do it the OTC’s way. Fatu later saw Reigns, who asked if Knight got his receipt or not. ‘The Samoan Werewolf’ confirmed that he did, but the Usos weren’t too happy about it.

‘The Tribal Chief’ knew they’d feel that way and added that he understood Fatu, and as long as the latter reciprocated that feeling, they’d be unstoppable. Roman Reigns then proceeded to whisper something in Fatu’s ear. When listened to closely, it could be determined that Reigns was asking the ‘Samoan Werewolf’ to destroy Seth Rollins next.

Why Roman Reigns tasked Jacob Fatu to handle Seth Rollins?

Last week on Raw, Seth Rollins declared that he has a date somewhere down the road with Roman Reigns. ‘The Visionary’ stated that Reigns was holding onto a championship that didn’t belong to him. Rollins got confronted by The Usos and Jacob Fatu backstage the same night about his comments surrounding ‘The OTC’.

‘The Architect’ said he wasn’t mad at Jimmy and Jey about standing up for Reigns because he understood it was how they did business in their family. Rollins was just disappointed because he thought The Usos had realized that they were better off on their own and not as Reigns’ bagboys. After scoffing it off, Jey Uso asked Fatu to get in Rollins’ face, which Fatu did for a brief moment, and walked away immediately.

One would imagine why Reigns had to whisper it to Fatu about taking care of Rollins. It might be as simple as Reigns trying to prevent a situation where telling Fatu about the plan loud and clear could trigger a sense of insecurity in the Usos. The tag team icons might feel that Reigns is preferring ‘The Samoan Werewolf’ over them for getting things done.

This dynamic will develop with time, and who knows, it may end up causing another rift between Roman Reigns and The Usos down the line. For the time being, Fatu knows he has a certain visionary to take care of. There’s now a huge possibility of Fatu screwing Rollins over in his steel cage match against Bron Breakker at Night of Champions.
