Roxanne Perez has exhibited a completely different attitude as the NXT Women’s Champion. However, even in her heel persona, she didn’t forget the advice that her mentor and wrestling ‘dad’ CM Punk gave her. The Prodigy spoke in an interview about the valuable life lesson he imparted and how it changed her perspective on things.

While speaking with Adrian Hernandez, Roxanne Perez stated that she worried a lot about what people thought about her. She revealed that, when CM Punk watched her live for the first time, she asked for any advice the veteran could give her. When The Best in the World saw Perez scrolling through X, he said that she should not focus on what people think about her.

He advised her to go out there and keep doing what she does, week in and week out. Meanwhile, the 22-year-old star defended her title against TNA’s Jordynne Grace at the recent NXT Battleground PLE. Although distracted, Perez was able to defeat the TNA Knockouts Champion with a Pop Rox. Interestingly, after the match, Punk tried to give her another piece of advice, but this time The Prodigy rejected it.

You keep on going out there and doing what you do and proving to everyone why you are in this, you are in the spot that you are in. That literally was just like very eye-opening.

Perez holds an immense amount of respect for the veteran and considers him her wrestling “dad.” It is not a secret that she never shied away from admiring his wife and former Divas Champion, AJ Lee. This new attitude of the 22-year-old star has certainly helped her gain an edge over other superstars. Only time will tell what the future holds for her.

Drew McIntyre mocked CM Punk once again after Roxanne Perez called him a hypocrite

It appears that Drew McIntyre found another reason to take a jab at The Second City Saint. After The Prodigy rejected his advice and called him a hypocrite, The Scottish Warrior joked about it on social media. Although they hadn’t met each other in the ring for a singles match, they have continued their rivalry via social media and promos.

The former World Heavyweight Champion took to X and stated that everybody was sick of Punk. He said that not only fans but people who grew up idolizing him, like Roxanne Perez, were also done with him. The WWE Universe knew how much she admired The Best in the World, but that all changed following the backstage segment after the NXT Battleground.

While Punk has made some backstage appearances in the last few weeks, McIntyre is preparing for his world title match against Damian Priest. It won’t be a surprise if The Scottish Warrior wins the title in his hometown of Scotland. However, it is also possible that Punk costs him another opportunity to win another title at the Clash at the Castle PLE.
