Russell Wilson recently commemorated the 10th birthday of his stepson, Future Zahir Wilburn, along with his wife Ciara. His eldest son was born to the prominent artist during her relationship with rapper Future in 2014. 

Unsurprisingly, the ex-fiancé and the current husband do not get along very well; they have had their fair share of disagreements, but they put all of them aside on Zahir’s 10th birthday.

Along with the Pittsburgh Steelers QB and his family celebrating the birthday of Zahir, rapper Future personally penned a heartfelt note and posted it on X.

He kept it simple and straightforward; it was strange considering the fact that Russell Wilson ended up penning a longer and more detailed gratitude post on Zahir’s special day.

Happy Bday Future! The big 10!! We are so proud of you and so grateful for you. You are our greatest blessing. An amazing son. The best big brother!! An absolute baller! So, kind and loving! Wilson went the extra mile and posted

He then tagged his wife, Ciara Wilson, in the post. One of the most commendable aspects about Russ is that he genuinely loves and looks after Future Wilburn as his own son; he does not like it when people refer to him as his stepson.

The ten-year-old is one of nine children who are fathered by rapper Future. His youngest, Jakobi Wilburn, was born in 2002, and the most recent was Reign Wilburn, born in 2019.

Future Zahir Wilburn was born in 2014 and is his fourth child. He happens to be the most well-known, as he was conceived while the rapper and Ciara were set to tie the knot. 

The couple began dating in 2012 and moved quickly; they got engaged a year later, which also happens to be the time that Ciara got pregnant with Zahir. However, the duo never formally tied the knot owing to alleged infidelity on the part of Future.

Following the birth of her son, she fought tooth and nail to ensure she got custody of him. Ultimately, she won and currently raises Zahir along with Russell Wilson.

Wilson and Ciara have had three children out of wedlock: Sienna, Win, and Amora. Zahir continues to stay under the loving and caring eye of his stepfather and mother.

He happens to be following in Wilson’s footsteps, as he is quite an athlete and has already begun to take up football. On many occasions, Wilson has posted reels of him working out with Zahir and teaching him how to play quarterback.

To make his big day special for him, the couple took him to the NBA playoffs between the Boston Celtics and the Cleveland Cavaliers, where he got a courtside view of the entire action.
