Sami Zayn did the unthinkable by winning the Undisputed WWE Championship at Night of Champions. It took him a quarter of a century to achieve this feat, but that doesn’t take anything away from him. If anything, it adds to his never-say-die attitude, which fetched him this glory in front of his ride-or-die fans in Riyadh.

Zayn’s longtime best friend Kevin Owens couldn’t help but come up with an emotional note for the erstwhile El Generico. ‘The Prizefighter’, at first, lamented missing a number of things over the last 15 months due to his neck injury. However, he regretted missing Zayn’s watershed moment in person the most.

Owens stated how Zayn has always brought out the best from him regardless of whether he was an ally or a foe. The inaugural Universal Champion hailed Sami Zayn as the best and lauded his longevity in this business, which helped him become undeniable. ‘KO’ affirmed Zayn’s WWE title coronation was inevitable and expressed being extremely happy to see it finally happen.

The former ‘New Face of America’ also attached several pictures of him and Zayn from different stages of their careers. Having known each other since 2002, these men have had the privilege to witness each other’s highs and lows. They even won the tag team titles in the main event of WrestleMania 39 in 2023 in one of the most incredible tag team matches of all time.

Circling back to the most recent mention of Kevin Owens setting Zayn off, Cody Rhodes told the ‘Last Real Good Guy’ on SmackDown before Night of Champions that he couldn’t believe Zayn was best friends with Owens. ‘The QB1’ pointed out two major differences between Zayn and Owens.

The first one being ‘KO’ stabbing whoever he wants to but not in the back unlike Zayn, and the second being the fact that Owens had held the world title in WWE, once again unlike Zayn. The mere mention of Owens riled Zayn up, and he yelled at Rhodes to keep KO’s name out of his mouth.

The fans are hoping for ‘The Prizefighter’ to heal at an unprecedented rate and re-emerge on WWE television to reunite with Sami Zayn. While there’s no firm update on his targeted return date at the moment, Owens did make an appearance on the Countdown to NXT’s Great American Bash PLE at the WWE PC in Orlando on Sunday.

The entire wrestling fraternity is buzzing over Sami Zayn putting the big gold around his waist. But someone who kept hovering over Zayn and insisted how he would never become a world champion in WWE with his ways seems the happiest of all with Zayn proving him wrong.

He’s none other than Karrion Kross. He remained at odds with the ‘Last Real Good Guy’ and tried proving that Zayn was also a bad guy just like others. ‘The Harbinger of Doom’ wanted Zayn to acknowledge that Kross was right about him. They had a match at SummerSlam, where Zayn won and moved on to other things, while it happened to be Kross’ last match in WWE, as his contract would shortly expire after that.

The current MLW World Champion was at a Comic Con recently, and that’s where he received the news of Sami Zayn winning the WWE Championship. He immediately got up and celebrated it by screaming, “Finally.” ‘The Doomsday’ said he was so proud of Zayn and asked everyone to feel the same way about him.
