IPL 2020: Sanju Samson reveals advice given by coach that changed his career

Following Rajasthan Royals’ (RR) incredible victory against Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) in the Indian Premier League 2020, Sanju Samson has revealed a key piece of advice he received from his coach that changed his cricketing career.

Sanju Samson is in incredible touch in this year’s IPL having scored back-to-back half-centuries. Samson followed up his 74 against CSK with another scintillating knock when RR went head-to-head with KXIP yesterday at Sharjah.

Put in to bat first, KXIP scored 223 runs thanks to Mayank Agarwal‘s century. Chasing a record total, RR lost Jos Buttler early on in the innings but Steve Smith hit an assured half century. Sanju Samson then continued his great form by scoring 85 of 42 balls. Following his wicket Rahul Tewatia who was initially struggling sprang to life and led his side to victory.

Samson reveals advice given by coach

Following the match against KXIP, Sanju Samson in a video posted by Rajasthan Royals’ Twitter handle said that the piece of advice that changed his cricketing career was the one given by his coach wherein he said “Just go out there and smack it. Don’t worry about anything else”. Samson further assured that he will stick on to that piece of advice.

Sanju Samson will next be seen in action on Wednesday against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).
