The next day, the team revealed that Irving would miss Saturday’s contest against the Washington Wizards because of right calf pain. Even though Kyrie Irving didn’t participate in the game on Saturday, Nets supporters were still able to criticize him. A video of Irving was played on the Barclays Center jumbotron prior to Brooklyn’s home game against the Washington Wizards, drawing vociferous jeers from the crowd.
Fans may be wondering if they have already seen the guard play for Brooklyn for the last time since the league’s trade deadline on February 9 is less than a week away. The undermanned Nets stunned the Washington Wizards 125-123 on Saturday night thanks to Cam Thomas’ career-high 44 points off the bench and a comeback from a 23-point hole.
