Former UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland is not someone who plays around. Often, he has taken things too literally. As a thoroughbred conservative and staunch believer in the Second Amendment, Strickland is keen on using his rights, especially using a gun for self-defense.
Strickland had earlier released footage of him confronting a trespasser with his gun. Now, he seemingly has done it again, but this time against a group of kids who looked to prank the number one middleweight contender in the UFC, as revealed by his Instagram post.
It's 1am and I get a ring alert. Car pulls you and some guys jump out and go to the side of my house, in the process of covering my white ass I hear a bang lol...Didn't see the doorbell alert till after… Just so you all know!...Sean Strickland’s Instagram video caption

Strickland has not yet released what happened after he went to confront the kids. He had released two-part footage when he confronted the trespasser. Therefore, he will likely release the remaining footage in the coming days. He did not fire the gun, as can be seen from the video.
As for his professional career, Strickland’s upcoming fight is against Paulo Costa at UFC 302. Headlined by Islam Makhachev vs. Dustin Poirier on 2nd June, Strickland vs. Costa is the co-main event of the PPV in Newark, New Jersey.
Sean Strickland questions the loyalty of the immigrants in the USA
Sean Strickland’s rise to superstardom was unprecedented. With his outspoken views, often controversial, Strickland has found a fan base in the conservative section of the USA. Moreover, with his recent endorsement of Donald Trump, many Republican Americans have also taken Strickland to heart.

For Strickland, the USA is first and foremost. As such, he has some problems with the immigrants in the country repping their birth nation in the US. He made his contempt of the situation known in his recent tweet on X.
I'm so sick of seeing foreign flags in America...The worst is Hispanics born in America flying a Mexican flag.. Where is your loyalty.. Just go back.. Enjoy your foreign flagSean Strickland via X
Nonetheless, Strickland has fanbases outside the USA as well. Fans were on his side when he fought Israel Adesanya at UFC 293 in Australia. Similar was the case when he fought Dricus Du Plessis at UFC 297 in Canada. As such, he certainly would have fans by his side at UFC 302 against Paulo Costa.
Adesanya and Du Plessis are probably fighting for the middleweight title at UFC 305. Moreover, the winner of Adesanya vs. Du Plessis will likely face the winner of Khamzat Chimaev vs. Robert Whittaker. Therefore, a victory over Costa will not guarantee a title shot for Strickland. However, an impressive finish would certainly make his case better.
