The world of the NBA is still processing the ripple effects of Luka Dončić‘s dumbfounding trade to the Los Angeles Lakers. After spending five years with the Dallas Mavericks, the 5x NBA All-Star was let go as the management allegedly grew frustrated with the former Mavs star’s conditioning issues. Nonetheless, is a trade of that magnitude possible in the world of pro wrestling?

Seth Rollins was asked about whether he believes there’s anyone in AEW to be traded with WWE who’d be viewed in the same light as Dončić’s transfer to the Lakers. Speaking to SiriusXMSports, The Visionary claimed that there’s no one on that level in All Elite Wrestling. But Seth did say that if he were to compare it with LeBron James, equating it to John Cena in wrestling, probably MJF might be the one.

Rollins then changed his mind to MJF being Dončić’s equivalent. Interestingly enough, it didn’t take long for the former AEW Champion to break silence. Taking it to X, the New York native hilariously trolled the Slovenian hoopster, wondering if he’s an “indie guy.”

I’m gonna make some headlines with this one. I don’t think there anybody in AEW that’s on that level.

It’s worth noting that Friedman was rumored for a move to WWE in early 2024. However, AEW CEO Tony Khan precluded the catastrophe by locking him down on a multi-year contract extension. One might be fascinated by the prospect of Max taking it to Seth one day in WWE if the stars do align themselves.

Both of them are the flag bearers of their respective companies. The Architect had previously voiced his displeasure with WWE creative. He once told Sports Illustrated that early 2022 was the most frustrated he’s ever been about his standing in WWE. It stemmed from plans changing on a weekly basis and him not seeing light at the end of the tunnel.

How does Seth Rollins’ road to WrestleMania look like?

The past year added a big feather to Seth Rollins’ WWE cap. For the first time in his career, he headlined WrestleMania, teaming up with Cody Rhodes against Roman Reigns and The Rock. Of course, that doesn’t discount anything from his ‘Heist of the Century’ exploits at WrestleMania 31.

With about 10 weeks to spare until this year’s Showcase of the Immortals, Rollins is yet to know what he’ll be doing in April. The Drip God wants to run it back with Rhodes though for the Undisputed WWE title.

However, the company has reportedly factored him into a high-profile triple threat match with Roman Reigns and CM Punk at WrestleMania 41. But before that, Seth is expected to have a final roll of the dice at the Elimination Chamber.
