In an interview with WWE’s The Bump, Rollins discusses the feud with The Mysterios and his future on Smackdown. But the first topic of discussion was Rollins’ nickname. Having been drafted to Smackdown, the name “Monday Night Messiah” is no longer valid. To this Rollins replied that he had really liked the name “The Smackdown Savior” but he has left it to the fans to decide the new name.

Rivalry with Mysterio

The Rollins-Mysterio rivalry has been going on since long, and has had some really bizarre segments. There has been eye for an eye match, where Rollins puked, there has been Aaliyah Mysterio’s real father angle and also Murphy’s betrayal as a disciple.

Interestingly, just like the fans, Rollins too hoped that the rivalry was nearing it’s end. Even upto the point, till Rollins showed up at the Smackdown premiere, it seemed like WWE was implementing new storylines. But then all of a sudden, Rey and Dominik Mysterio showed up to interrupt Rollins.

“I guess we’re going to have to finish that unfinished business before I move on to the next chapter”, said Rollins. He mentioned that he will end Rey Mysterio’s career before moving to newer prospects at Smackdown.

WWE has also teased a rivalry between Rollins and Daniel Bryan, which fans might get to see after Rollins is done with the Mysterios.
