Seth Rollins was in the studio for ESPN‘s Get Up yesterday to promote the Royal Rumble. Just when he got asked about Brock Lesnar‘s participation in this year’s 30-man Royal Rumble match, ‘The Visionary’ started giving a good account of the menace of ‘The Beast’.
Rollins said he’s a force to be reckoned with, and it’s never fun to share a ring with Lesnar, which Rollins has done many times in the past. ‘The Architect’ dubbed the former UFC Heavyweight Champion’s Royal Rumble match declaration as “the most Brock Lesnar way that I’ve ever seen to announce your entry into the Royal Rumble.”
For the unversed, ‘The Conqueror’ facetimed Pat McAfee on this week’s edition of The Pat McAfee Show to officially announce that he’s headed to the Royal Rumble and affirmed that he’s going to win it.

Circling back to Rollins, he summed it up perfectly. The 6-time world champion quipped that Lesnar didn’t want to show up to work, and he’d most likely fly from his haven in Saskatchewan to Riyadh in a private jet. The former leader of The Vision also added that the 48-year-old has a pretty fair shot at actually winning the entire thing. Brock Lesnar hasn’t competed in a Royal Rumble match since 2023.

He was slated to partake in the subsequent edition, but WWE pulled him from the event due to his alleged involvement in the Janel Grant lawsuit, accusing Vince McMahon and others of obscenities. After a two-year absence in the Royal Rumble matches, ‘The Beast’ is back. However, he wouldn’t have it easy. There are a ton of dream face-offs that the fans are yearning for Lesnar to have while in the ring.
Some of them include a potential interaction between Lesnar and Oba Femi, who’s pegged to be the next big thing on the main roster. ‘The Beast Incarnate’ would likely come face-to-face with Bron Breakker as well.
This match was, at one point, discussed within WWE to do at WrestleMania 42. Whatever it might be, the fans could expect to get a clear indication of Lesnar’s WrestleMania direction by virtue of who would dump him over the top rope.
Seth Rollins ranks the greatest Royal Rumble match victories of all time
In another excerpt from Seth Rollins‘ aforementioned stay on Get Up, he presented his A-List of the Royal Rumble match winners. The 39-year-old put Rey Mysterio winning it in 2006 at #5. Rollins hailed Mysterio as the greatest luchador of all time by adding that size didn’t matter to the ‘Master of 619’.

At #4, the former Shield member brought up John Cena‘s miraculous WWE return in the 2008 Royal Rumble match at MSG on a night when he wasn’t expected to show up. Not only did Cena drop many jaws by coming back, but he also went on to be the last man standing in that ring and punch his ticket to WrestleMania.

Next on Rollins’ list was Ric Flair winning the 1992 Royal Rumble match to capture the vacant WWF Championship. Moving on, Seth Rollins landed in the 1995 Royal Rumble match, the ending of which is his favorite of any Royal Rumble match to date.
The closing moments of it saw Shawn Michaels almost eliminated with his left foot touching the floor. ‘The Heartbreak Kid’, however, recovered from a precarious position to roll back in the ring. Michaels eventually dumped the British Bulldog over the top rope to secure his WrestleMania berth.
That being said, what topped the Seth Rollins list? His wife did. The Iowa native put Becky Lynch‘s 2019 Rumble match victory at No. 1, as, in Rollins’ words, the Royal Rumble is all about changing the game, which nobody does better than Lynch. Rollins also won the Royal Rumble match on the same night as his wife, but he didn’t rate himself at all.
