Seth Rollins return to WWE might be postponed
Seth Rollins
On the Christmas edition of Smackdown, it was announced that Seth Rollins will be returning to Smackdown’s first episode of 2021. But, WWE has deleted all the posts referring to Rollins’ return from their social media.
WWE regularly release the preview of upcoming shows on their official website. But even the preview of this week’s episode of Smackdown makes no mention of Rollins’ return. There has been no explanation provided over why Rollins’ appearance has been cancelled.
WWE is now gearing for their first PPV of 2021. With Royal Rumble just around the corner, WWE might be saving Rollins’ appearance for the event.
Rollins is currently on paternity leave. His last appearance was at WWE’s Survivor Series. He represented Team Smackdown, and sacrificed himself.
WWE Smackdown preview
Even with Seth Rollins’ WWE return seemingly scrapped, the episode still looks packed. WWE Universal Champion has reportedly made a special request to the WWE management. This request will be revealed on the upcoming episode of Smackdown.
Reigns made the request to the management, following his win against Owens in a Steel cage match. The request from the Champion could be that Owens cannot challenge him for the title anymore. Owens has had a shot at the title twice. But on both occasions Uso helped Reigns to retain the title.
WWE Smackdown Women’s Champion Sasha Banks will be teaming up with Bianca Belair. They will take on Bayley and Carmella. New Intercontinental Champion Big E will be facing King Corbin in a non-title match.
