Oleksandr Usyk‘s victory over Tyson Fury in the heavyweight match thrilled a lot of fight fans, including Shannon Sharpe. Fury failed to defend his belt against Usyk and lost the bout in a close clash. However, the Brit was not satisfied and voiced it with one of the most ridiculous objections.
According to ‘The Gypsy King’, the judges and the fans were sympathetic towards Oleksandr Usyk due to the war going on in Ukraine. However, it didn’t sit well with Shannon Sharpe at all.

Following his war with Fury, Usyk emerged as the first undisputed heavyweight champion in twenty-five years. The Ukrainian received scorecards of 115-112 and 114-113, while Fury received a score of 114-113 from a third judge. Hence, leading to a split decision.
Usyk was naturally the smaller fighter however, it didn’t stop him from almost defeating a much heavier Tyson Fury. It was a massive victory for Usyk who couldn’t control his tears at the post-fight press conference. For the boxer and his country, winning the match was extremely important. Something, the legendary Wladimir Klitschko also agreed to.
