If taking ridiculous bumps inside the squared circle wasn't enough for him, a top Raw star had a pretty ugly fall inadvertently.

As someone pointed out in the comments beneath Sheamus‘ latest post on X that brought him shame, it hurts the most when one’s not expecting it. Having said that, what the former World Champion went through is both hilarious and concerning at the same time. Apparently, The Celtic Warrior was in his hotel room. He had just barged in to have fun with his pet dog.

It was then that he slipped miserably on a seemingly wet floor. It took a toll on his back, as evident in the following video. He had already messed up his backside after a brutal Donnybrook match on Raw. The 46-year-old waged war against his former ally Pete Dunne. Since there was no DQ, it was pure chaos. Dunne even made use of a cricket bat as Wade Barrett, on commentary, made a rare cricketing reference citing English great Sir Ian Botham.

Despite being zip-tied to his back, the Irishman was relentless. He won after nailing Pete with his patent Brogue Kick. After the match, the former Brawling Brutes leader posted a picture of his bruised back. It led many to adjudge him as the toughest SOB in WWE right now.

It goes without saying how consistent he’s been with his performances of late. Sheamus is being hailed by the fans for risking it all on network television. He hasn’t made it to the PLEs, which doesn’t seem to do justice to the amount of work he’s put in. Regardless of that, he’s still hellbent on going that extra mile.

The Intercontinental Championship is all he needs to complete a career grand slam in WWE. It’d be interesting to see how he finds himself back in the hunt to finally have a shot at the only milestone that has eluded him his entire career.

Was Sheamus set for premature WWE retirement earlier this year?

The run Sheamus’ been on wasn’t always a guarantee. Returning to WWE in April after an eight-month hiatus was rough. As revealed by The Great White himself, he was contemplating retirement at one point.

Marred with a serious shoulder injury, The Fella couldn’t see daylight at the end of the tunnel for a long time. But thanks to an incredible team of doctors, trainers, and physios that helped him get through that phase of unbearable pain. But, the treatment wasn’t kind to his physique.

That left him pudgy. The Cabra-born wrestler had to counter trolls like Drew McIntyre and those on social media for looking out-of-shape on national television. However, within few months, The Celtic Warrior regained a chiseled look.
