Over the past few weeks, Shedeur Sanders’ 2025 draft projection has been under scrutiny. But after his comeback victory against the Baylor Bears, he once again proved why he is projected to be the No. 1 overall pick. Under the guidance of his father and NFL legend Deion Sanders, Shedeur pulled off a remarkable feat that made fans storm to the football field to celebrate.

The Colorado Buffaloes quarterback has received immense praise on social media for his impressive 43-yard throw aimed toward LaJohntay Wester at the very last second of the game, which resulted in a tie and proceeded to overtime. Thereon, the Buffs pulled off a thrilling 38-31 victory against the Bears.

The night was filled with excitement and pomp as Colorado secured their third victory of the season. As the players entered the locker room, they immediately hit the floor, vibing to the energetic tracks of rapper Babyface Ray.

Things got more exciting when the senior quarterback hopped on what appeared to be a table and began dancing to his song, “Perfect Timing,” released earlier this summer. And just like they rocked the football field at Boulder, the players brought the same energy to the locker room, dancing enthusiastically.

Shedeur Sanders ties game with last-minute prayer play

Late in the fourth quarter, when Colorado was on the verge of losing the game, Shedeur threw the 43-yard catch with God’s name on his mouth as he said. Keeping Travis Hunter backside to shift the attention of the opposing defense at him, the quarterback found Wester in the end zone, eventually tying the game.

They’re not going to think we’re going to throw him the ball because he’s like a shorter guy in that situation. So then I roll left, everybody went in the middle of the end zone and I just trusted God. I just threw it up to God. And God answered the prayer for sure.

Fortunately, it happened exactly the way Shedeur had envisioned, and as they proceeded to the overtime, star wide receiver Hunter sealed the victory by forcing the opposing running back Dominic Richardson to fumble when the Bears were aiming for a touchdown to score the victory.
