Cody Rhodes faces an extremely tough choice on Saturday night at the Elimination Chamber. He will be confronted by The Rock and must decide whether he wants to sell his soul to the Hollywood superstar. The latest episode of SmackDown featured the 39-year-old’s last words before this huge interaction. This segment also ended with a physical confrontation against his old-time rival, Solo Sikoa.
Fan footage revealed that after the latest episode of SmackDown went off the air, Sikoa ambushed Cody Rhodes inside the ring. He laid out the champion with a few punches and grabbed a steel chair to amp up the damage. However, the American Nightmare reacted in time, catching the Samoan with a superkick and landing a Cross Rhodes shortly after.
These two superstars have a history that dates back years. Rhodes started having interactions with Sikoa all the way back in 2023. This was when he had won the Royal Rumble and was going to challenge Roman Reigns for the title. The former NXT North American Champion also made life hell for the 39-year-old when he took over as the Tribal Chief of the Bloodline. This led to multiple matches between these two for the WWE Undisputed Championship.
As soon as Rock’s pre recorded segment ended, Solo attacked Cody off air.

Sikoa had disappeared from TV after losing the Ula Fala to Reigns on the first episode of Raw Netflix. He made his return just a few weeks ago on SmackDown, once again, by targeting Rhodes and beating him down. These two have been involved in a physical brawl since then. It is interesting to see where WWE is going with this angle heading into WrestleMania.
Dustin Rhodes reacts to The Rock showering Cody Rhodes with presents on SmackDown
Ahead of his scheduled appearance at the Elimination Chamber, The Rock did his best to entice Cody Rhodes as much as he could on the latest episode of SmackDown. Before he makes his final decision, the American Nightmare was given plenty of gifts to see what it would be like if he did decide to sell his soul.

When Rhodes arrived at the show, he was guided by two men in suits to a separate locker room, all courtesy of the People’s Champion. He found a sushi buffet waiting for him, alongside a giant wine rack from which he could choose anything. The Great One also appeared via satellite to gift the champion an expensive and personalized Ford F-150 Raptor truck.

The Brahma Bull showed Rhodes a custom weight belt that said “Cody’s Soul.” The belt also had his father, Dusty Rhodes’, death date written on it. The Final Boss said that his passing away had broken The Rock’s heart. He asked the former AEW EVP not to break his heart again. Cody’s brother, Dustin Rhodes, doesn’t appear to be a fan of the 52-year-old using their father to lure his brother. Thus, he responded appropriately with a post on X.
