A man accused of stalking WNBA star Sophie Cunningham has been arrested. His name is Kevin Singh, and he is from Indiana. He was accused of sending her threatening and explicit messages on social media. The constant messaging and threats first began in February, but the harassment and stalking have been happening since last year.

He was arrested on Tuesday and has been charged with multiple felony charges, such as stalking, intimidation, and misdemeanor harassment charges. Things got really out of hand as Cunningham told the investigators that she had been staying at home more and having nightmares as Singh’s continued messages and threats took a toll on her.

Cunningham became aware of his online conduct in February and took the matter to the Indiana Fever team security. He threatened John Ball, who is the vice president of security and event services for the Fever after Ball sent him a cease-and-desist letter. The letter also saw Singh’s online behavior escalate.

The Fever star received a package last year of a letter and a Guns N’ Roses T-shirt sprayed with men’s cologne. Fortunately, he has been arrested, which will be a huge relief for Cunningham.

It was a difficult period for Sophie Cunningham after everything she had been through. Her sleepless nights were caused by the constant messages and harassment. In April, he sent her a message on X which read, “You’re literally down the street from me!”

While Cunningham’s team sent him a letter, things only got worse. Hence, it was a matter of time before an arrest was made. Singh is currently on probation in Hendricks County, Indiana, after he pleaded guilty last year in July. He was charged with two felony counts of invasion of privacy.

Caitlin Clark was a victim of stalking and harassment as well

Prior to Sophie Cunningham’s allegations of stalking and harassment, her Fever teammate Caitlin Clark was a victim of similar charges as well. Clark’s rise to popularity has been beyond imagination ever since she stepped foot into the WNBA.

However, last year, she was in a similar situation to Cunningham. Her stalker was from Texas and got arrested in Indiana. He was sending her a long stream of threatening and explicit messages on X. It got so bad that Clark was forced to change her appearance in public. He also moved to Indiana to get closer to the WNBA All-Star.

The stalker was eventually arrested and was sentenced to 2.5 years in prison. While many expected the sentence to be around six years, the 2.5-year sentence did not go down well with Clark’s and WNBA fans, as they believed that the sentence was too short for the crimes he committed.

Meanwhile, further details are yet to be disclosed regarding Cunningham’s stalker. It has not been revealed if Singh has an attorney yet. However, the general public will be hoping to see a longer sentence for Singh compared to Clark’s stalker.

Sophie Cunningham looks to avenge Caitlin Clark after losing to the Phoenix Mercury

The Fever, led by Caitlin Clark, suffered a narrow 111-109 defeat to the Phoenix Mercury on Wednesday night. The loss sees Fever’s record drop to 10-8 as they sit at third place in the Eastern Conference standings, while Mercury are currently at seventh place in the Western Conference standings with a 6-13 record.

However, the biggest setback for the Fever was Clark suffering a back injury. The injury is a huge setback for the WNBA star, who was on the receiving end of a lot of physical play from the Mercury players.

After the game, Sophie Cunningham posted on Instagram and appeared to be eager to get back at Mercury in the future. In the video, she said:

If I were a smoker, tonight would be a night where I would smoke a whole pack.

Both Cunningham and Clark share a good friendship with each other. She manhandled Jacy Sheldon, Clark’s longtime rival, last year, which made her a fan favorite among Clark and Fever fans. She even stood up for Clark on Wednesday night. Hence, it is understandable that the 29-year-old wants to get back at Mercury after Clark’s injury.
