Following Rajasthan Royals’ (RR) incredible victory against Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) in the Indian Premier League 2020, BCCI President and former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly praised the IPL as the best league in the world.
RR went head-to-head with KXIP yesterday at Sharjah. Put in to bat first, KXIP scored 223 runs thanks to Mayank Agarwal‘s fiery century.
Chasing a record total, RR lost Jos Buttler cheaply but Steve Smith struck a fluent half century. Sanju Samson then continued his explosive form by scoring a scintillating 85 of 42 balls.
Following his departure, when it looked like game over, Rahul Tewatia who was initially struggling went all guns blazing and led his side to victory. He was well supported by Jofra Archer who struck two sixes off the penultimate over bowled by Mohammad Shami and in the end by Tom Curran struck the winning runs.
