Rampage Jackson had a warning for Stipe Miocic. He warned the UFC champion to be aware of Jon Jones’ spies in his camp for their potential fight in the UFC. Miocic made an appearance on Jackson’s podcast and he shared his own experience of dealing with spies during his training camp for a fight with Jones.
Stipe Miocic recently sat down for a conversation on the JAXXON PODCAST. During their discussion, Jackson said something interesting about Jon Jones sending spies to rival training camps.
I bet you Jon Jones has somebody in your camp. I guarantee you he's watching you. He watched me in my camp. I was training at the MusclePharm, in Colorado. So you didn't know everybody there. There were some people that was working there. And I guess they was cool with Jon. And only way I found out I faked the injury.Rampage Jackson via JAXXON Podcast
Rampage Jackson revealed that he never videotaped anything because things he was working on got back to Jones. Jackson said it was a really important fight for him. Jones defeated Rampage Jackson by rear-naked choke in the fourth round at UFC 135.
The fight was for the UFC light-heavyweight title, which was Jones’ first defense. Jackson has called Jones “the dirtiest fighter” in MMA. Stipe Miocic was supposed to fight him last year for the heavyweight title but it was cancelled due to injury.
Jon Jones picks fight with Stipe Miocic over Tom Aspinall
UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones is one of the most popular fighters in the UFC. Interim champion Tom Aspinall has been pushing a fight with Jones for forever. However, Jon Jones recently addressed the issue and talked about why he would fight Miocic over Aspinall.
Jon Jones sent out a series of tweets on X, explaining why Miocic is a bigger fight for him than Aspinall. He dismissed Aspinall as a “potential hype train that may not even be around in three years.” He also wrote:
I am not changing my plans for anyone. Stipe is over there as the best heavyweight ever working his ass off. I’m gonna give that man what he wants, and I’m going to claim another head. Whatever comes next comes next.Jon Jones on X
Jon Jones is clear on who his next opponent is going to be. Tom Aspinall too has given up on a fight with Jones anytime soon and is focusing on his upcoming fight in UFC Manchester. It will be interesting to see when Jon Jones returns to the UFC and how things turn out in the heavyweight division.
