Following a successful in-ring return at WrestleMania XL, The Rock virtually confirmed his presence for next year’s Showcase of the Immortals as well. That’s going to be one for the history books. Especially now that “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, arguably The Rock’s greatest rival, is also teasing something for the mega event in Las Vegas.

The Texas Rattlesnake recently spoke to The Athletic. Affirming that he’s not leaving the state of Nevada, where he basically resides, Steve Austin touted WrestleMania being there in 2025. It would be an easy drive for him to the show. He was earmarked to be in a significant spot at this year’s WrestleMania. For the unversed, the 59-year-old was believed to be the one taming the menace of The Rock.

However, Austin and WWE couldn’t agree on financial terms. As a result, his role was passed on to The Undertaker, who sent the fans into a frenzy after he choke-slammed The Great One. Many thought that not being able to secure Steve was a huge miss.

I said I won’t leave Nevada. It’s hard to get me out of this state. But…WrestleMania next year is in Vegas. That’s in Nevada.

Having him and Rock take center stage, though transiently, would’ve been a moment worth relishing forever. Nonetheless, for every Philadelphia, there’s a Las Vegas. Dwayne Johnson is seemingly a lock at this point for the pop-culture extravaganza in Sin City. He’s expected to face Cody Rhodes, as per what has been learned.

If Austin agrees to do WrestleMania 41, one might reckon that WWE could pull off something between these Attitude Era cornerstones. The Bionic Redneck last appeared at WrestleMania 38. He triumphed over Kevin Owens in what was Steve’s first WWE match since 2003. His time in the ring might be over, but he can surely be up for occasional appearances.

John Cena ready for his last dance at WrestleMania 41

The fans attending WrestleMania in Las Vegas will bear witness to John Cena‘s swansong at the namesake event. The 16-time World Champion has already announced that next year’s WrestleMania will be his last as an in-ring competitor.

There are quite a few names he might face at the grandest stage of them all. But, as of now, Randy Orton is the odds-on favorite to face Cena at Mania. Apart from that, the Peacemaker star could also claim his final shot at the world title.

He just needs one to surpass Ric Flair‘s record. They’re pretty much even-steven right now. The best way for John to compete for the biggest prize in sports entertainment is by winning the men’s Royal Rumble match in 2025. That’d be enough to earn him a quota.
