Andy Murray receives wildcard entry in the upcoming Moselle Open 2021
Andy Murray
Former World No. 1 Andy Murray has achieved so much in his illustrious career. The Brit has defeated the best in the business on the days when he was at his best. However, in recent times, Murray hasn’t been able to deliver according to expectations.
Plagued constantly by injuries in the recent past, Murray was forced to stay away from the action for an extended period of time. At the Cinch Championships 2021, Murray made a comeback on the Grass Court but was unable to do much, and since then, his performances in several tournaments hasn’t been impressive, to say the least.
Andy Murray to feature in the upcoming Moselle Open 2021
However, the Brit is constantly getting chances to compete in marquee tournaments which will help him get his confidence back. After the first-round exit from the US Open where he was defeated by Stefanos Tsitsipas in a hard-fought encounter, Murray went on to compete in the Rennes Challenger 2021.
And now, Murray will be getting a wildcard entry into the upcoming Moselle Open 2021 where he will again stand a chance to regain his lost form. In all fairness, it has to be said that Murray’s performance has drastically improved in past few weeks in comparison to how he was playing when he initially returned after recovering from the injuries.
Moreover, he almost went past World No. 3 Stefanos Tsitsipas in his opening match at the US Open which would have given him a lot of confidence. If he keeps on improving in the same manner, it won’t ber surprise to see him winning games after games in the upcoming tournaments.
