Andy Murray receives wildcard entry in the upcoming Vienna Open 2021
Andy Murray
Andy Murray is a name to reckon with in the world of tennis. The British tennis star has achieved a lot in his illustrious career. However, he hasn’t been in the best of forms lately. After suffering an agonizingly close defeat in the first round at the US Open, he had a forgettable outing at the Open de Rennes where he was knocked out in the second round.
However, post that, the former World No. 1 delivered a couple of impressive performances at the Moselle Open where he was able to reach the quarter-finals. However, his journey was halted by top-seeded Hubert Hurkacz who won the encounter in straight sets.

However, despite underwhelming performances, the British tennis star has been getting ample opportunities to improve his rankings. Murray has now got a wildcard into the upcoming Vienna Open. The World No. 109 now has another golden opportunity to regain his lost form.
In all fairness, Murray has left no stone unturned in order to improve his game. He was clearly looking scratchy when he returned to the grass-court after recovering from injuries. His performance at Cinch Championships and Wimbledon was pretty ordinary.
Post that, he worked hard to regain his lost form and fitness, and during the first round encounter at the US Open against World No. 3 Stefanos Tsitsipas, the fans could see glimpses of the old Andy. Needless to say, if he keeps going like this, a thumping comeback is not very far away.
