The Spanish tennis player opened the year by winning the Australian Summer Series in Melbourne, where he defeated Maxime Cressy in the finals. His first tournament since then is the ATP Acapulco. He moved past the first round after defeating Denis Kudla in straight sets 6-3 6-2 in the round of 32.

Kozlov is a professional tennis player from the United States. He had a poor start to the year, as he failed to win a single match in his first two events. He subsequently competed at the Australian Open, where he was defeated in four sets by seventh-seeded Matteo Berrettini in the second round. He then competed in a challengers tournament in the United States, losing his second match. His best performance of the year came in the Delray Beach Open, when he advanced to the quarterfinals but lost to fourth-seeded Tommy Paul. He advanced through the qualifying rounds in Mexico, defeating Grigor Dimitrov in the round of 32 in three sets, 7-6 5-7 6-3.
