Stefanos Tsitsipas started the clay court leg of the season in exemplary manner by winning the Monte Carlo Masters. In the finals of the event he beat Andrey Rublev in straight sets, 6-3 6-3. He did well in the Barcelona Open as well, getting to the Finals, but lost to Rafael Nadal in the Finals. In Madrid he made it to the round of sixteen, and in the Italian Open got beaten by Novak Djokovic in the Quarter-finals.
