I feel actually quite nervous. I cannot really put the good words together because all of this is very new and all of this is really exciting and special. Also it’s stressful. I didn’t expect this to happen. Now I’m here, switching fast from clay to grass, all of this is new, all of this is different.” said Krejcikova who will play her first Singles match on Grass since the 2017 season.

I feel like people see me differently. I think maybe they have higher expectations and everything. But for me in this. moment, I just feel like I shouldn’t put the pressure on myself anymore. I almost achieved everything I ever wanted. This is my approach at the moment. Now it’s happened, so I still love it.”

Barbora will enter the tournament as the World No. 17 and the 14th seed and will have all eyes on her with people eager to see how she plays at the All-England Club this year after a gap of 4 years since her 2nd qualifying round defeat at the 2017 Wimbledon.

I don’t think that I have extra confidence, I just take it as it is. It’s very nice that I was able to make my dream come true, but on the other hand there are so many other girls who are playing so well. I just have to come back on the ground, work hard again, just try to improve because otherwise I won’t be playing these tournaments and these players for upcoming years.” said Barbora.

Barbora Krejcikova will be playing her first round against Clara Tauson to start her Wimbledon 2021 campaigns.
