“Butta says hi” Naomi Osaka shares an extremely adorable picture with her pet Butta ahead of Indian Wells 2022

“Butta says hi” Naomi Osaka shares an extremely adorable picture with her pet Butta ahead of Indian Wells 2022

Naomi Osaka is a professional tennis player from Japan. She is the first Asian player to earn the No. 1 position in singles, according to the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA). She has won four Grand Slam singles titles. She also has seven WTA Tour titles. Osaka won her first two Grand Slam singles titles in back-to-back Grand Slam tournaments at the 2018 US Open and the 2019 Australian Open.

She became the first woman since Serena Williams in 2015 to win two Grand Slam singles championships in a row, and the first woman since Jennifer Capriati in 2001 to win her first two majors in a row. Last year, Osaka competed in just a few tournaments before taking a sabbatical from tennis to focus on her mental wellbeing. This year, though, she appears to be a lot happier and more prepared to play at the greatest level.

The Indian Wells Masters is the Japanese player’s most recent challenge, which starts tomorrow, and she recently uploaded an adorable photo from the court with her dog, Butta. In the post, she is seen on the court with her dog “Butta,” who seemed to be ecstatic to be sitting in his mother’s arms, soaking in the sun. The Japanese got the dog last year. She may have missed Wimbledon and thus missed out on a chance to win another major title last year, but she did get something arguably better; a new dog.

Osaka was full of smiles in her Instagram post, flaunting her new beige French bulldog and sporting fresh box braids in 2021. “I’m a mother, no drama,” Osaka captioned the photo which eventually became a Tik-Tok trend. Osaka takes Butta everywhere she goes, sharing many images and videos.

Butta may have also played a role in her improved mental health because she seems delighted around him and carries him everywhere. She got the dog shortly after withdrawing from Roland Garros last year following the US Open controversy.

Several fans were enamoured by the dog and showered the comments section of the post with love, red hearts here and there, and adorable comments. A fan retweeted her post, captioning it “I’m going to steal this dog on US Open”.

Many of her fans also left comments with cute photos of their own dogs, sending greetings from them to Butta.

Even the official account of the US Open couldn’t keep their eyes from getting watery after looking at the adorable picture and left a comment as well.

The 24-year-old will make a comeback at the Indian Wells 2022 now that she is in a healthier mental state. Her first-round match will be against Sloane Stephens tomorrow. While her opening round will undoubtedly be a thriller, she will almost certainly face elite players such as Jessica Pegula and Annet Kontavett in subsequent rounds as she attempts to win her second championship at Indian Wells.
