The southpaw had to withdraw from the US Open 2021 due to recurring injuries. However, even when he is not on the court, he is making his presence felt on the biggest stage. Young tennis sensation from Spain Daniel Rincon delivered a magnificent performance in the Boy’s Singles in the US Open 2021. He defeated Chinese tennis star Juncheng Shang in straight sets by 6-2, 7-6, and made his icon, Rafael Nadal, super proud.

Rincon started off in an emphatic fashion in the final and won the first set without much hassle. However, he was stretched a little bit in the second set, but he kept his cool under pressure and eventually clinched the title. Evidently, Rincon was extremely delighted after winning the title.

Expressing his happiness after winning the final, Rincon said, “It feels great, I still don’t know what to say, I still don’t believe what I did. I’m really happy, I just want to keep playing these kinds of tournaments. It’s such a great atmosphere here, so I’m really happy to win in New York.

Nadal took to Instagram to proudly share the news and congratulated Rincon on the wonderful achievement. Nadal, who is set to miss the remaining 2021 season, is expected to make a comeback next year and his fans would be eagerly waiting to see him dominate the proceedings on the court yet again.
