The match between the Spaniards and the Russians is virtually a knockout as the winner will go into the quarter-finals while the loser will finish second and then would have to hope other results go their way so they can be one of the two second-placed teams that will qualify for the last-8. Given Russia’s better-ranked and in-form players, they might just edge over the Spaniards.
