Eugenie Bouchard had one of the best fan interactions recently in New York. The 27-year old Canadian posted on Instagram for pizza suggestions and her fans flooded her with various spots to fulfil her craving.
The Canadian who is currently in New York in rehabilitation from her recent arthroscopic injury, Bouchard enjoyed a great fan interaction which initially began digitally but in a few hours turned into a pizza party for all. Bouchard invited the fans to Joe’s Pizza which was the most popular response she got and planned a sudden meet-and-greet with her fans.
While many fans were in doubt whether the Canadian will actually come to the place, Eugenie didn’t disappoint and was welcomed by a huge crowd with whom she had her pizza and later posted the picture on her social media handles. Bouchard was gracious in her ‘party’ and bought a round of pizza for all the fans who showed up posing and enjoying the pizza with them.

Bouchard last played a professional match back in March at the 2021 Abierto GNP Seguros in Mexico where she was defeated in the first round itself. In the previous week at the 2021 Abierto Zapopan in Mexico, she had made it to the finals but failed to win the title. Her fortnight in Mexico was the last time she played on the tour as she suffered yet another injury setback.
Bouchard’s title run at the 2012 Wimbledon Juniors had created a great deal about her career as she looked like a promising talent. However, she couldn’t create much impact due to inconsistent form and lack of fitness that saw her getting injured often. She won her first and only WTA title at the 2014 Nurnberger Versicherungscup in Germany.
She also made it to the finals of the 2014 Wimbledon but was not able to win the title which remains the only Grand Slam final appearance of her career so far. Eugenie had brief moments of comebacks during different seasons but none could stand the test of time as she couldn’t get the desired results.
Currently in her rehabilitation in New York and with such a great interaction with fans, many will be hoping to see her back in action before the season ends and wish that she returns to her true potential.
