French Open 2021: Roger Federer vs Dominik Koepfer LIVE stream: When, Where, and How to Watch

Roger Federer and Dominik Koepfer

The eighth seed Roger Federer will take on Dominik Koepfer in the third round of the French Open on Sunday.

Swiss legend Roger Federer has had a mixed year thus far. His Doha campaign was surprisingly cut short by Nikoloz Basilashvili in only the second match and he delivered an ordinary performance against Pablo Andujar in Geneva. However, in the French 2021, Federer has shown glimpses of his class and has made his way into the third round.

Federer defeated Denis Istomin in the first round of the French Open with relative ease. He went past him in straight sets and won the game by 6-2, 6-4, 6-3. Moreover, in a high-octane encounter where a few words were exchanged, Federer kept his calm and defeated Marin Cilic in the second round. Whereas World No. 59 Dominik Koepfer has defied all odds to make his way into the third round but he will face his toughest challenge of the tournament thus far against Roger Federer.

Federer will be expected to continue on his merry way as he hasn’t shown any signs of weakness in French Open 2021. However, he has been a little rusty this year by his standards. Even then, he can’t be ruled out of the game by any means. These two players haven’t faced each other on any tour thus far, but it would be fair to say that Dominik would have to bring out his best game to stop the Swiss-Express.

Dominik Koepfer has been at the top of his game thus far in the French Open. He went past Mathias Bourgue in the first round in straight sets and didn’t face much trouble against American tennis star Taylor Fritz in the second round either. However, he has a monumental challenge in front of him in the third round. He is expected to give a tough fight to the Swiss legend, but the odds are heavily in favor of Federer going through to the round of 16 without much trouble.
