‘It’s happening!’ Gael Monfils and Elina Svitolina all set to tie the knot on July 16

Tennis power couple, Elina Svitolina and Gael Monfils are all set to get married on July 16,2021 after dating for more than two years. The duo, for years now have been the most famous couple in the tennis fraternity and have been quite vocal about their relationships.

Monfils took to social media to share the news. He posted a beautiful photo with Elina and captioned it, ‘Last day as my Fiancé.’ The details of the wedding are not yet known, but it will be a private ceremony on July 16, as Monfils shared.

The Frenchman teased his fans about the same, where is posted a picture on July 12 and captioned it ‘Big week coming ahead…’ Although the couple are moving a step ahead, they had a few setbacks in their journey too. They took a break in February but were back with a bang a couple of months later.

Earlier in April, Svitolina and Monfils got engaged amidst the beautiful Swiss Alps. The news came as a surprise to fans all around the world as the couple announced they are taking ‘a break’ a month back.

“She said YES ♥️ Madame Monfils @ElinaSvitolina,” Monfils wrote on Twitter, with by a photo of a ring on the Ukrainian’s finger. Svitolina too posted a picture of the couple at the base of snowy mountains with her ring on. She wrote: “YES!!! To the beginning of our forever?? .”

On tour, both Monfils and Elina had an average outing at Wimbledon 2021 where they both bowed out in the first week. They are expected to be back on court in a couple of weeks.
