It will be her first Grand Slam final, so it’s obvious that Pavlyuchenkova is yet to win a Major trophy. However, the Russian has won 12 singles and five doubles titles on the WTA Tour, as well as five singles and eight doubles titles on the ITF Circuit. Her biggest singles titles to date have come at two Premier-level tournaments, the 2014 Open GDF Suez and the 2014 Kremlin Cup. Pavlyuchenkova has previously reached six other Grand Slam quarterfinals at the 2011 French Open, the 2011 US Open, the 2016 Wimbledon Championships and the 2017, 2019 and 2020 Australian Opens.

Although she has remained in top-50 for much of her career, Pavlyuchenkova is yet to win something significant. This is the perfect time to land the knockout punch and add Grand Slam with her name. Having said that, it’s going to be a humungous task as her opponent in the final, Barbora Krejcikova, has played a little better tennis.
