Rafael Nadal has been in the headlines from the time he expressed his strong opinions on Novak Djokovic visa saga. But the player recovered from everything and made a great comeback in the new 2022 season and the Australian Open 2022.

Rafael participated in the Melbourne Summer Set tournament held this year and knocked out each and everyone of his opponent and eventually won the finals by defeating Maxime Cressy with a score of 7-6, 6-3. At the Australian Open too he has given commendable performances. In thr fourth round Rafa defeated Adrian Mannarino with a score of 7-6, 6-2, 6-2.

Mats praised Rafa for his exceptional performance from the start of the season. The tie breaker that went for 28 minutes saw some of the best games of the legend. The former legend mentioned how Rafa’s game in the fourth round gave him goosebumps and his performance was unbelievable.

“It’s just one set!” remarked an Wilander on Eurosport. “I mean, it’s one set and if Rafa loses this set, nothing changes in his energy level, he’s still going to win this match, it’s just going to take an extra set and going to be four sets.

“But still, the fact that he’s that emotionally involved, and when he most probably knows that in 49 matches out of 50, he’s going to win the next three sets against Mannarino. And of course, he won easily, but he’s unbelievable. I get goosebumps when I watch him and I hope he never goes away.“He’s fantastic as a problem solver and as a motivating figure in my life, to be honest,” Wilander added.
