Jannik Sinner is currently preparing for the new season. The Italian sensation had a fantastic 2021 after winning 4 titles to finish the year in the top 10.

The 20-year-old became the youngest player to win back-to-back ATP titles since Rafael Nadal in 2005 when the Italian won the Great Ocean Road Open at the beginning of the season, combining it with the Sofia Open title the youngster won to close out the 2020 season.

Along with his singles title, he also won the Atlanta Open in the doubles category with his partner Reilly Opelka, defeating Steve Johnson and Jordan Thompson in the final.

Sinner is one of the most interesting players and definitely one to watch in 2022. The young Italian is currently home in the north of Italy, preparing from a physical point of view. He recently shared a video on his Instagram showing him training. In the video, the Italian could be seen doing a variety of physical drills with a scenic mountainous backdrop to improve and sharpen his physical condition.

The youngster would be looking forward to carrying on from his exceptional last season when he broke into the top 10 in the rankings for the first time. He eventually finished the season as 9th in the world.

Sinner reveals his struggle with weight

Jannik Sinner is rightly considered as one of the most talented players around during these times, having the potential to be the world number 1 in the future. However, it hasn’t always been easy for the youngster.

Sinner had a very thin and frail frame in his younger days. The Italian revealed that he couldn’t even lift the racket up the first time he went for training as he was so thin and weak.

“I remember that in the winter I went to the tennis court with my father and I took my ‘little’ racket. I could never even lift it because I was thin and without strength,”– said Sinner in an interview with Intesa San Paolo.
