Barbora Krejcikova Vs Zarina Diyas: Preview

Czech world number 11 Barbora, who is also ranked number 2 in the Doubles rankings, has been on fire ever since losing to Iga Swiatek in Rome at the Round of 16 stage. She has gone on to win 20 of the 21 matches since then, with the loss coming in the Wimbledon 4th round to eventual Champion Ashleigh Barty. She is also tasked with leading a strong Czech contingent, consisting of No.5 seed Karolina Pliskova and two-time Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova – the only player in the singles field with an Olympic medal (bronze, 2016, Rio de Janeiro).
27-year-old Kazakh international Diyas is currently ranked world number 99 and had a disappointing Wimbledon, where she lost in the first round to Anastasija Sevastova in straight sets 4-6, 1-6.

Barbora Krejcikova Vs Zarina Diyas: Prediction

The Czech superstar enters the match as clear favourite, both on paper and on form. She has won the Strasbourg, Roland Garros and Prague Open titles in succession. Diyas has not much to compare, with the exception of a run to the Quarter Finals of the Ladies Open Lausanne 2021 a week ago.
Prediction: Krejcikova to ease away to a straight set win
