Muguruza will come into the clash with a career Hardcourt record of 220-104 and is 30-10 on the surface this season while being 38-15 across all surfaces this season. Kontaveit will take the court with a career Hardcourt record of 145-87 and has a 21-10 record on Hardcourts this season while having a 37-15 record across all surfaces.

Looking at these numbers, their past performances and recent results, Anett Kontaveit seems to be the one heading into the next round but Muguruza will be a tough opponent to defeat as she herself is in very good form. However, due to the consistency of Kontaveit in the past few weeks, she gets the edge to be the favourite for a place in the semis but Muguruza can certainly turn the match in her favour but chances of it happening are low.

Prediction: Anett Kontaveit to win in 3-sets.
