Garbine Mugurza registers her best result at the Olympic Games as she advances into the quarter-finals of the tournament. Muguruza was up against Belgium’s Alison Van Uytvanck and went on to defeat her 6-4, 6-1 in 1 hour and 19 minutes to register her 3rd consecutive straight-set victory at the Olympics this year.

Muguruza is yet to go into a tie-breaker at the Olympics and has looked in great form. She had paired up with Carla Navvaro in the Women’s Doubles as well but lost in the 2nd round to the Swiss pair of Belinda Bencic and Viktorija Golubic.

Elena Rybakina continues her run at the Olympics 2020 as she moves into the quarter-finals, getting closer to the coveted Olympics medal. Up against Croatia’s Donna Vekic, Rybakina went on to win the match 7-6(3), 6-4 in 1 hour and 41 minutes to make it into the last-8 of the Olympics.

Elena has won all three of her previous ties in straight-sets and is slowly turning out to be a good contender for the medal with her consistent dominant performances in the past three rounds.
